Hello!!
Today wasn't a terrible day, thankfully. When I was getting breakfast in the cafeteria, someone told me my whole outfit was "just adorable." In my history class, we spend the whole hour watching a documentary about slavery. Slavery is horrifying, but I didn't have to take notes. In choir, we had sectionals, and the sopranos got through everything very quickly. We even went over the part we were supposed to learn on our own over the weekend.
My Composition I class, however, almost made me "crash out." We had to write a reflection about the introduction to our book and how we see ourselves portrayed in media. That's all fine and dandy, but the introduction has basically nothing in it to use as evidence. I really struggled with the assignment. I mean, we had to write a paragraph with a topic sentence, two examples of evidence, two explanations of that evidence as it relates to our topic sentence, and an analysis of everything. I only got through the first example of evidence. In my defense, the professor only gave us 20 minutes.
This is Labor Day weekend. My roommate is gone and, I assume, already at home. I will be all alone in this room for three days. I'm kind of thankful because I can turn the AC off and leave the light on as long as I want. On the other hand, it is eerily quiet in here. I can hear the people in the hall but not anything else.
It got cold all of a sudden. This time last week it was almost 100 degrees, and now it's 72. I looked at the weather, and it's going to stay cold too. I know why perception of cold is different than most people's, but come on! It's August, and this is supposed to be the hottest part of Arkansas. I don't have enough cute pants for this. Speaking of which, I should do my laundry. Yesterday and today, it's been rainy and dreary.

I'm wearing a plain white long-sleeve shirt under it. I'm wearing jeans and rainboots.
My hair is definitely part of the outfit.
Someone told me it looks like my nanny was going to marry my father, and we were going to all sing together. I LOVE The Sound of Music, so this might become a new staple in my hairstyle rotation. It takes a lot of bobby pins told and kind of hurts my scalp, though. If I wear it regularly, I'll just have to "thug it out."
